However I do believe you were very careless for having unprotected sex without considering the consequences. I could go on all day about how premarital sex is bad and that it is worth the wait but in the end everyone has their own choice. At our age, teens are having sex, whether it is for love, boredom, or hormones. If you did like Bleeker and did think what you two were doing was right at the time, you guys could have at least used a condom since you were not planning on getting pregnant. If you are not going to wait, then play it safe.
I think you made the right choice. It is also good that you had options. I for one am pro-choice. The fourteenth amendment in the United States constitution protects our rights to privacy and the Roe v Wade case legalized a woman's right to have an abortion to birth. I do not agree that it is right to terminate a baby after the middle of the second trimester but the government cannot strap a women down and force her to have a baby. It is her body and her body only.
Whether you are keeping the baby, aborting it, or putting it up for adoption the choice should be based on the women’s and babies well being. Some women may not be able to handle giving up a child or abortion will scare them or can't take care of it All three options affect you emotionally and your choice should be what is best for you emotionally.
